Irving O. Tarbox Editor Will The Circle Be Unbroken? It’s hard to believe it has been a year already, but it is Christmas time again. The older you get the harder it seems to get into the holiday spirit. Sometimes an old memory will get you in the mood, or hearing a Christmas carol, or maybe seeing your favorite Christmas television show. Maybe one of the shows we mention in our article in this issue is your favorite. Used to be, when my Grandma was still alive, the whole family would get together at her house on Christmas Eve and have dinner and exchange gifts. She has been gone twenty-four years now and it gets harder and harder to pull it together every year. There’s always an argument over whose turn it is to have the get together. This year there is even talk of having the feast held at the conference room at a friend’s pest control office. Merry Christmas and pass the DDT. My house is much too small so we never have it there. I hope Grandma’s Christmas spirit will come down and solve this and help keep this family tradition alive. She always loved Christmas and her house during the holidays was like something out of a picturesque greeting card. I often wonder about what it is going to be like when my mother, uncle and aunt are no longer around. Will the Christmas Eve tradition die? Or will all of us cousins still get together and eat a grand meal, open presents, and sing Christmas carols? We never see each other but on that one night a year. I hope the tradition never dies, and years from now our grandchildren still get together on Christmas Eve. Grandma Josie would be happy. People need family on Christmas. Letters To The Editor We got many letters and emails about our "100 Most Important People of the 20th Century" list. Here are a few.
